Cambridge School of Radio Broadcasting. First job (outside of real estate): Disc jockey WBIS in Bristol, Ct. and WLOB Portland, Maine. (4 years). First job in real estate: Founded New England Real Estate Journal, Boston 1963. With the help of lots of loyal employees, became the largest weekly commercial real estate trade newspaper in the country. Founded New York Real Estate Journal 1989. Launched NEREJ website, the first commercial real estate website in the country in 1995. Hobbies: Writing mystery novels. Favorite book: Lee Child books. Favorite movie: "Casablanca"- "Louis, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship." Humphrey Bogart's final line. Favorite tv show: "Blue Bloods" Person you respect most: Bob Lewis. My mentor who taught me the newspaper business and was Journal sales manager for over 30 years. If you could eat dinner with anyone (living or dead and not related): Jesus, Babe Ruth, and Humphrey Bogart to Anthony's Pier Four. Key to success: Give first and receive second. Help those who need it and it will come back ten-fold. And always look for the good in a person. It is usually there somewhere if you are willing to seek (you shall find).
