What was your first position/job in the A/E/C Industry? It was here – at Fuss & O’Neill! I was hired two months before graduation as a mechanical engineer. I worked out of our, then, West Springfield office in the Industrial Services Department working on mostly industrial wastewater processes and ventilation projects. From there I transitioned to more commercial work, and I am especially proud of the work I get to do with local schools. Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing building systems being constructed!

Why the A/E/C Industry?  I really love the pace and collaborating in teams. I love working with clients to frame project budgets, schedules, and scope.

Advice/Keys to success: Get your credentials and get some experience – and gain confidence from that. Always actively pursue continuous professional development. Set yearly goals for yourself and achieve them!

If you had to choose one word to explain why you do what you do, which one most suits you? And why? I choose “challenge.” In order to get to the next level, you have to overcome challenges. And you should always be reaching for the next level.
