Boston, MA Redgate has named Gregory Bialecki as the real estate advisory and investment firm’s eighth partner. Bialecki, an executive vice president at Redgate for the past year, has helped propel the firm’s Gate Residential platform, which is focused on raising capital and securing new investment to build and develop premium multifamily real estate.

“Greg has exceeded our high expectations and we are thrilled he has become our eighth partner in the firm,” said Redgate principal Kyle Warwick. “The team here looks forward to his continued leadership solidifying our vision and trajectory of our firm.”

Bialecki has also been instrumental in pursuing and executing commercial and mixed-use pursuits, advisory assignments and contributing to general company growth. As a partner with Redgate, Bialecki joins a talented team of 25 professionals - many who have worked successfully together for a number of years. The company will reach its six-year milestone in 2016.

“It has been a tremendous first year and I look forward to being a big part of Redgate’s future,” Bialecki said. “Over the past six years, this company has developed a unique portfolio of mixed-use and multifamily projects that are redefining urban life in Greater Boston. I’m honored to be a part of this growing firm.”

An expert on housing, Bialecki joined Redgate after six years serving as the Mass. Secretary of Housing and Economic Development under Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick. In that role he was the governor’s chief advisor on critical issues such as jobs, housing and the economy.

During that time, Bialecki also led numerous initiatives to promote the state’s innovation economy and to support transit-oriented, mixed-used real estate development. As secretary, he was also responsible for the management and oversight of 12 state agencies with more than 800 employees and an annual budget of over $400 million.

Bialecki previously served as the undersecretary of business development and spent 20 years as a real estate, business and environmental attorney with Hill & Barlow and DLA Piper, specializing in urban development. Bialecki is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He currently resides in Newton, Massachusetts.
