Real Estate Finance Association hosts golf tournament and summer panel & reception

Boston, MA REFA hosted its Annual Charitable Golf & Tennis Tournament on Monday, July 18th at Dedham Country & Polo Club, benefiting FamilyAid and Rosie’s Place. Over 130+ golfers and tennis players gathered for a great day of networking, golf, tennis, a silent auction, and most importantly – supporting two local organizations dedicated to ending homelessness in Greater Boston. On Tuesday, July 26th, Greystar hosted our REFA Emerging Leaders for a property tour of 212 Stuart St., a brand-new apartment community in Bay Village. Following the tour and information session, Greystar invited the Emerging Leaders to a networking and cocktail reception on the roof of 212 Stuart St.

REFA’s Emerging Leaders hosted the first in-person Summer Panel & Reception since 2019 on Wednesday, August 3rd. Over 80 REFA Members enjoyed an afternoon of education and networking at Holland & Knight’s office space in Back Bay. The education portion of the afternoon featured the following panel - In Search of a Steady State: Investing through Real Estate Disruption & Economic Volatility. Bob Brown, Brookline Bank, Toby Banta, Eastern Real Estate, Joelle Dehnam, Bulfinch, and Mike Olson, Rhino Capital Advisors, discussed how they are navigating through market volatility, mitigating risk, and exploring new strategies across their portfolio as we head into the second half of 2022.

Registration for the 34th Annual REFA Gala on Thursday, October 6th at the Westin Copley Hotel is now open, and this year’s special honoree has been announced! REFA is delighted to honor Paul Ayoub, chair, Nutter, with the Swain Distinguished Service Award at REFA’s first in-person Gala in three years.
