Related Companies and The Beal Companies sell Penthouse 1 at The Clarendon for $6.5 million

Related Companies and The Beal Companies complete the sale of Penthouse 1 at The Clarendon, signaling another significant marker of success for the property. The 3,500 s/f residence achieved a record breaking price of $6.5 million ($1,834 per s/f) for a luxury new construction high-rise condominium. Located on the 31st floor, Penthouse 1 belongs to The Clarendon's coveted Penthouse Collection, which offers three, full-floor 3,500 s/f residences, revealing panoramic 360-degree views. The penthouses feature expansive living spaces that include a great room with wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows, a library, three bedrooms and three full en suite baths plus a powder room, with fireplaces in the great room and master suite. The master suite also includes walk-in closets and an oversized windowed master bath complete with a soaking tub, separate shower and double vanities. Penthouse 1 is the only unit that comes with its own private landscaped terrace, with entrances off of the master suite and great room. As The Clarendon nears sell-out, only two penthouses remain available. "With the sale of Penthouse 1 at The Clarendon, we are thrilled to announce the first luxury residential sale of 2013. Selling at $1,834 per s/f, we've continued to achieve record breaking prices, which bodes well for the luxury condo market in Boston," said Barbara Cusack, director of sales. "We see a great amount of interest in our few remaining residences, which is a testament to the quality and desirability of the building, as well as the outstanding reputation of Related Cos. and The Beal Cos." The condominium residences starting on the 15th floor offer views of the Charles River, Boston Harbor and the downtown skyline. The Clarendon's design and amenities have been lauded by the marketplace and the brokerage community alike. Adhering to Related's nationwide commitment to green development, The Clarendon has received LEED Silver Certification, the benchmark for high-performance sustainable design from the U.S. Green Building Council.
