On April 27, the RI Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors met to create a Two-Year Strategic Plan. The board is comprised of members from the commercial real estate and appraisal specialties. The all-day session was facilitated by Alice Martin, RCE, CAE, vice president of leadership development, National Association of Realtors.
Richard Berlinsky, 2011 board president said, "This plan will provide us with attainable and sustainable goals that will ensure the value of our organization to our members' profession into the future". The board agreed that professional support services, legislative advocacy and organizational growth were the top areas of focus. The plan, including a new vision and mission statement, will be approved at the board's next regular meeting to be held in Newport on May 18.
