Stamford, CT RHYS Commercial, a full-service commercial real estate firm, completed multiple new leases at 9 West Broad St. In the first month of 2016, RHYS Commercial, working on behalf of ownership, a joint venture between certain affiliates of Westport Capital Partners LLC and Forstone Capital, has completed five new lease transactions to the class A office building in downtown.

Since being hired as the exclusive leasing agents for the building, senior vice president and principal Christian Bangert, and president and CEO Cory Gubner have worked with ownership in the completion of twenty new leasing transactions, totaling over 130,000 s/f and taking the building from less than 3% occupied to almost 70% leased.

Since acquiring the property in 2013, ownership has invested in excess of $10 million in capital improvements to the property, including full renovations to the building entrances, lobbies, elevators, offices and common areas, as well as the modern designed first floor amenity package. Additional base building improvements include a new roof, an upgraded HVAC system, a new building management system, parking garage repairs and a new drainage and pump system, which have all contributed to the building’s transformation into a first class facility offering best-in-class amenities.

With a full façade renovation currently underway and a covered awning system attaching the garage to the lower level lobby expected to be completed this spring, 9 West Broad St. will soon prove itself as the new-age class A CBD office building that companies are proud to call home.
