The RI Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors joined with Bristol County Savings Bank and the South Eastern Economic Development Corp. (SEED) hosted a networking breakfast on June 6, at the Squantum Association. Mark Hayward, RI district director for the U.S. Small Business Administration, gave opening remarks to attendees and strongly encouraged real estate professionals to tap the resources of the SBA, local lenders and the SEED Corp. to promote small business lending.

Industry experts from SEED included Lisa Holmes, Laurie Driscoll and Tamarah Bacon providing an overview of the CDC/504 Loan Program that allows for financing of fixed assets, real estate and improvements (non-rental investments). Micro-lending options were also included in the discussion.
Real estate licensees who attended the program were eligible to receive 2 hours of real estate continuing education credit approved by the RI Department of Business Regulation.
