Rockstroh of Steffian Bradley Architects elevated to FAIA's College of Fellows

Kurt Rockstroh, president and CEO of Steffian Bradley Architects (SBA), has been elevated to The American Institute of Architects' prestigious College of Fellows (FAIA). The American Institute of Architects Jury of Fellows made its decision to elevate Rockstroh as a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA) in February. Elevation to FAIA is a rare honor bestowed to architects who have made outstanding contributions to the profession through design excellence, education, and the advancement of the profession. Of a total AIA membership of over 80,000 throughout the U.S., 3,000 members are elevated by the jury. Rockstroh was honored by the jury for a career in architecture spanning over three decades. In that time, Rockstroh's expertise in the master planning and designing of hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, and private institutions for research and teaching has influenced the field of healthcare design. He has been involved in the planning and design of more than 400 built healthcare projects around the world and has been involved in master planning and strategic planning initiatives for more than 75 healthcare organizations. He joined SBA in 1977 and has served as president and CEO since 1996. Under his leadership, Steffian Bradley Architects has grown into an international architecture firm with projects worldwide. Rockstroh was honored at an investiture ceremony at the 2012 National AIA Convention in Washington, D.C.
