Metrowest Commercial Real Estate completed the sale of the apartment complex at 31, 35 and 37 Salem End Rd. and 75-89 Maynard Rd. as well as the restaurant building at 1060 Worcester Rd., to Framingham State University.
The sale price for this package of several buildings was $6.6 million.
The school previous purchased 23 Salem End Rd. which was also brokered by Mark Rosen of Metrowest Comm'l.
The acquisition of these sites, which are located near the northwestern edge of campus, is the third and final one this year related to the school's plan to build a parking lot in the area. The demolition of the apartment buildings is scheduled for early 2014.
The buyer is officially the Massachusetts State College Building Authority and the seller is Salem Maynard Trust of Somerville. Rosen was the sole broker.
