Westport, MA Residential Properties Ltd. (RPL) will be opening a seventh office.
When asked why she decided to expand her company to Westport, president and CEO Sally Lapides said, “Having raised my family in Little Compton for 35 years, I have always loved the coastal towns in nearby RI and Massachusetts. The combination of oceanfront, farmland, and a village center defines New England to me and this community is close to my heart. Now we will be better able to service our client base. Whether it is a year-round home or a second home, the area provides stunning housing with an easy commute to Boston and Providence.”
This new office will specialize in the areas of Westport, Tiverton, Little Compton, Fall River, Mattapoisett, and Fairhaven, and will start off with four new agents led by broker associate Laurie Ammann of the OnPoint Team. The rest of the team includes sales associates Kathy Santos, Brian Janes, and Jennifer Silverman.
Lapides had glowing remarks about Ammann and the entire OnPoint Team:
“Team leader, Laurie Ammann has a strong team of professional, hard-working brokers with deep roots in the community. She had come to our attention over the last couple of years. Several of the real estate professionals at Residential Properties live or had lived in Westport and had spoken to me about her professionalism, knowledge, and integrity. Laurie then introduced us to the rest of her team, and while Kathy and Jennifer have become new friends, several of us had known Brian from his previous work at RISD. During this unprecedented time, Zoom has been our best way of getting to know each other and we are thrilled to share the same goals, objectives, and excitement for this expansion.”
The new office will be managed by broker associate, Ian Barnacle who currently manages RPL’s Barrington office. Barnacle is familiar with the area having grown up spending his summers in Little Compton. He and Lapides both look forward to growing this new office.
Lapides is especially excited to bring the RPL Advantage to the area. “Our marketing of properties is very different from our competitors,” said Lapides. “We specialize in video and aerial photography, telling a story about the house and the community. The exposure to our stunning website will enhance properties and people's knowledge of the area. Being part of a large and dynamic Rhode Island-based firm will open up a larger pool of buyers for area properties, while our strong relocation division will provide buyer referrals in the area.”
Most of all though, Lapides is looking forward to expanding the new office by bringing on additional agents and becoming the strongest and most innovative agency in the area.
