SAK Environmental continues work with Delphi Construction on Phase II of Island Parkside Affordable Housing development

Lawrence, MA SAK Environmental is working with Lawrence Community Works and Delphi Construction Inc. in the final stages of Phase II of the Island Parkside Affordable Housing development. Since 2021, SAK provided services for all phases of environmental management on this project which included due diligence, design investigation, and construction administration to safely mitigate environmental risks from demolition of a former industrial foundry plant and export 20,000 tons of contaminated surplus soil. This major excavation was needed, in part, to accommodate the Squash Busters Inc. Lawrence Center which combines exercise, education, and leadership opportunities. When completed, the building will provide 40-units of affordable housing along with squash courts, a gym, and learning rooms from Squash Busters.
