In his role as chair of the education committee Salvadore will be responsible for the development of educational course material and curriculum, advancement courses and seminars as well as informational meetings of the chapter. The chapter is one of the largest and oldest chapters of the ASA. "With over 200 member appraisers in our chapter covering multiple disciplines including real property, personal property, machinery & technical specialties, gems & jewelry, business valuation and numerous sub specialties, the Boston chapter will have one of the most rigorous, demanding and rewarding educational programs in the country" said Salvadore. "The ASA is the Gold Standard of appraisers and the Boston chapter will offer our members excellent education opportunities to enhance each member's appraisal practice and further separate ASA member appraisers excellence from the non-accredited appraiser" said Salvadore. "The path to accreditation is long, demanding, rigorous and requires passing a series of challenging testing and review exams, but this process separates the ASA appraiser from the rest of the pack." Courses, seminars and informational meetings will be held in the Boston and Providence areas. Course offerings will include full Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and USPAP update course, specific courses on valuation in business valuation, machinery & technical specialties, intangible valuation, personal property including gems and jewelry and arts and antiques, marine, as well as aviation and leasing. Courses are open to all financial professionals. Contact at appraisal@siaai.com for course offerings and information.
