A formal groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 4, at the site of the future CVS retail store. Construction will begin immediately for this $4.5 million, 13,000 s/f full-service facility and is expected to be completed in the fall of this year.
Presentations were made by numerous local, regional and state representatives and many local business persons came by to celebrate the start of the project. Keynote representatives included Hebron town manager, Andrew Tierney; Connecticut State senator Cathy Osten; Connecticut State representative Pamela Sawyer; Windham Region Chamber of Commerce executive director, Roger Adams; and CVS/Caremark district manager, Tim Roy. Hebron Economic Development Coordinator, Randy Anagnostis, provided opening remarks and introductions for invited guests.
"This is really a milestone accomplishment for the continued development of the Hebron Center business district," said Anagnostis.
The 2.5 acre site is being developed by Salvatore Capital of Dedham, Mass. Project architect is Ashley Dawson and project manager is Norr Architects of Detroit, MI. The project engineers on the project are Bohler Engineering of Southborough, Mass.
