State awards $5.4m to NeighborWorks Housing Solutions for Quincy St. Supportive Housing project

Quincy, MA NeighborWorks Housing Solutions (NHS) has been awarded $5.4 million in grants and loans from the Healey-Driscoll Administration to support its Quincy St. Supportive Housing project at 150-156 Quincy St.

NHS has entered into the single-phase redevelopment project to replace three aging residential buildings that contained 14 bedrooms, shared bathrooms, and had no accessibility with 24 new permanent supportive studio apartments with individual private bathrooms and kitchenettes, plus a common area and office space for supportive services. The new building will be fully accessible and energy efficient, with close proximity to the Quincy Adams and Quincy Center MBTA stations and neighborhood amenities.

Designed for low-income residents transitioning out of homelessness in partnership with Father Bill’s & MainSpring, Quincy St. Supportive Housing will offer on-site case management, counseling, and educational services to support residents as they work toward long-term stability and independent living. Tenants will be identified through the Southeastern Massachusetts Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry process.

Project construction is slated to begin in the spring of 2026, with completion anticipated in spring of 2027.

“We are deeply grateful to the Healey-Driscoll Administration for their investment in housing solutions that change people’s lives,” said Robert Corley, CEO of NeighborWorks Housing Solutions. “The Quincy Street Supportive Housing project will provide high quality, safe and accessible supportive housing for the stability necessary for individuals to rebuild their lives.”
