Steel Design Conference to be held on May 17

The 31st Annual Steel Design Conference will be held at the Campus Center at Worcester Polytechnic Institute on May 17 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm The conference will be sponsored by: American Institute for Steel Construction, New England Steel Detailers Association, Steel Fabricators of New England and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. This year the conference will offer several sessions that will be of interest and benefit to engineers, architects, detailers and fabricators. These sessions will include presentation on: the I-93 FAST14, the most recent success for MassDOT's Accelerated Bridge Program; the Girder Slab System Technology; Codes, Standards and Rating Systems: Sustainability 2012 and Beyond; as well as a program to help engineers, fabricators and detailers work together more efficiently. The cost is: members are $100; nonmembers $150 and students $25.
