Stodden promoted to vice president at Columbia Const. Co.

Columbia Construction Co. promoted David Stodden, LEED AP to vice president of preconstruction and estimating. Stodden joined Columbia in 2002 as a superintendent and through the years has advanced through several roles, including estimator, preconstruction manager, director of virtual construction and director of preconstruction services. Stodden's recent accomplishments include overseeing the preconstruction and estimating efforts for the repositioning of 610 Lincoln St. for Hobbs Brook Management, an office building in Waltham, as well as Boston Scientific's corporate headquarters relocation to Marlborough. The Boston Scientific project included renovations to an existing 50,000 s/f building and the construction of a new 115,000 s/f building pending LEED Silver certification. In his new role as vice president, Stodden will be responsible for the oversight of the company's estimating and preconstruction departments. A graduate of Union College with a degree in civil engineering, he has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry. With a background in operations, Stodden brings practical planning experience to the preconstruction and estimating efforts, ensuring proper budgets and an overall comprehensive project delivery process.
