Stone joins BOND as director of preconstruction healthcare/life sciences

Boston, MA BOND hired Robert Stone, the new director of preconstruction, healthcare and life sciences. Stone is an important addition to BOND as the company continues to expand and strengthen its healthcare and life science service offerings throughout the Northeast.

In this newly created role, Stone will use his extensive industry experience to ensure clients’ needs are addressed and resolved early on, leading to a smooth and efficient construction process. He has more than 35 years’ experience focused in preconstruction, estimating and value engineering for laboratory, biopharmaceutical and high-tech manufacturing clients. 

Stone graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University.  He also holds E.I.T certification and a 30-hour OSHA certification.  He is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators and American Society of Civil Engineers.

Prior to joining BOND, Stone served as chief estimator at The Richmond Group, a construction management and design-build firm specializing in life science facilities. He also served as director of preconstruction services at The Martins Companies as well as chief estimator at Walsh Brothers, Inc. His project portfolio includes clients such as Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Biomedical, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Mt. Auburn Hospital and The Ragon Institute.
