StonehamBank donated $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowel

Stoneham, MA StonehamBank donated $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell. The donation will be used for Habitat’s Critical Home Repair Program. This program reaches out to low income families, including the elderly, disabled and veteran community, that currently needs help to stay in their home by providing a wide range of home repairs to address health, safety and accessibility issues.

“Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell would not be able to build and repair homes for families in our community if it weren’t for companies like StonehamBank. StonehamBank has been supporting Habitat Lowell for many years and their commitment to giving back to the community both financially and with volunteer labor enables us to increase the number of families who benefit from our programs” said Brenda Gould, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell Executive Director.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization which seeks to eliminate substandard housing and provide deserving, low income families, with decent affordable homes. Habitat’s success is through volunteer labor, donations and the help of the partner family. Habitat of Greater Lowell has built or rehabilitated 39 homes for families in need in our local community as well as 66 homes globally. Habitat Lowell also provides repair work for the elderly, veterans and disabled through their Critical Home Repair program. To date 24 families have been helped.
