Subcontractors and general contractors connect at ASM's GC Showcase on October 7

The room was full and the energy high at ASM's GC Showcase on Oct. 7, where more than 200 members turned out for the opportunity to meet and talk with estimators, purchasing managers and other decision-makers from 21 major GC and CM firms, representing all market sectors. For both the general contractors and subcontractors alike, it was a great opportunity to re-connect with the companies they knew, and meet the ones they didn't -- to discuss upcoming projects and potential business opportunities. Attendees rated the event as "excellent", with some commenting "Having everyone in one place to reach out to was great!" and "The majority of GCs were mid-sized regional firms in my target market as opposed to multi-national giants." It will be two years until the next "showcase" event, but in the meantime, we'll look for more ways to collaborate with general contractors, both legislatively, and through other events - like the one we are doing jointly with AGC and CFMA on Dec. 4.
