Suffolk Construction Company, Inc., hosted a celebration to mark the topping-off of the 360 State St. project. Joining Suffolk in marking the milestone were the project developer, Bruce Becker of Becker + Becker, mayor John DeStefano, Jr., economic development administrator Kelly Murphy, and Andy Esposito of Ironworkers Local 424. This LEED Platinum, $190 million mixed-use development, when completed, will be the second tallest building in the city. It will also be the largest private residential building in the state. The 700,000 s/f development will host 500 apartment units, a full-service grocery store, and other commercial shops and offices. Suffolk Const. hoisted the final steel beam ahead of schedule and under budget.
