Suffolk Construction tops off $190 million 360 State St. mixed-use project

Suffolk Construction Company, Inc., hosted a celebration to mark the topping-off of the 360 State St. project. Joining Suffolk in marking the milestone were the project developer, Bruce Becker of Becker + Becker, mayor John DeStefano, Jr., economic development administrator Kelly Murphy, and Andy Esposito of Ironworkers Local 424. This LEED Platinum, $190 million mixed-use development, when completed, will be the second tallest building in the city. It will also be the largest private residential building in the state. The 700,000 s/f development will host 500 apartment units, a full-service grocery store, and other commercial shops and offices. Suffolk Const. hoisted the final steel beam ahead of schedule and under budget. Completion of the main structure was achieved only one year after groundbreaking, and developer Bruce Becker and mayor DeStefano praised the progress of construction. The 360 State St. development is expected to be completed by September.
