Derby, CT Plans are moving forward in town with a proposal that would bring new life into the south side of the downtown area. During the Planning and Zoning Commission’s October 18th meeting, the commission unanimously approved making the south side of Main St.
Avon, CT Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap, completed the sale of 164-unit Avon Place Apartments, part of 188-unit Avon Place Condominiums. The apartments sold for $24 million.
Waterbury, CT Bob Bowden of the R. Calabrese Agency has completed the sale of a property located at 137 Mattatuck Heights, formerly occupied by Wanho Manufacturing. The 45,000 s/f masonry and steel building on 6.8 acres was constructed in 1980 and expanded in 1990.

Norwalk, CT Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) has secured $3.515 million in financing for the acquisition of 83 East Ave., a three-story, 39,000 s/f office building. Robert Noeldechen, director in MMCC’s New Haven office, handled the deal and secured a 4.985% fixed rate non-recourse loan, with 1-yr I.O., 10-year term/30-year amortization.
Morris, CT Washington Trust’s Commercial Real Estate Group has provided $1.1 million in financing to MCG Morris, LLC, for the construction of a Dollar General Store. Located at 16 West St., the new retail property includes 7,544 s/f of space on a 1.33 acre parcel.
