What person, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? January 1st we celebrate our 43rd year in the restaurant brokerage and hospitality consultancy business and with sales approaching a half billion, 2022 has proven to be one of our busiest.

What was your most important professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? The most notable transaction for our team, Matt Quinlan, Ryan Parsons, Alex Berger and I, was exclusively tenant representing 3 Step Sports in leasing 64,000 s/f in Andover, Mass.

What was your most important professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? My most notable project this year was a large safety product installation on three large roofs for an established life sciences company in Burlington, MA. We chose FIXFAST fall protection products which are OSHA compliant and help

Over the last several years, the real estate industry has demonstrated high prices and low inventory. Combined with stagnant supply chains and record interest rates, and the result is a market that is increasingly difficult to navigate. I am proud of the work of our team at Rockland Trust

What was your most important professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? We have just done our 68th ribbon cutting or ground-breaking since COVID started. These are either new businesses opening up in town, businesses expanding in town or relocating to town.

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2023? Everyone has their eye on the big unknown: interest rates. We are starting to hear more about developers putting the pencil down to let things cool and investment in real estate decelerating, and consequently we are focusing on markets that stay strong in a slowdown.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? On the financial side of the real estate industry is the implementation in 2022 of new accounting standards for leases.

I have learned during my 40+ years in the construction industry that meticulous and constant planning has always been a key factor in achieving project success, and profitability in business. However, now with labor and material shortages that are predicted to continue,

This year, NeighborWorks Housing Solutions was proud to have over 1,000 learners complete our first-time homebuyer education program, and we saw close to 300 of them successfully close on homes using that knowledge, skills and connections
