November 15, 2012 - Connecticut
CT's 2013 legislative session is a "long" five-month session, starting in January and ending in June. It is also a budget session. This means Gov. Malloy will present a 2-year budget for Fiscal Years 2014 and 2015 subject to legislative approval.
During the 2012 session, Democratic legislator worked with the Governor's office to balance the state budget with spending cuts and record setting tax increases. During the 2013 session, it is expected that several business taxes will be reviewed and reformed, including the possibility of consolidating business tax credits and additional oversight on business tax incentives. CT ABC will be monitoring business tax related proposals, and encouraging your input during the legislative review process.
