Charlestown, MA Local residents and visitors from all corners of the globe have grown to know and love The Anchor in the Navy Yard. After a safe and successful season during one of the most unconventional years, The Anchor is thrilled to welcome back its patrons for 2021. As the venue hits year three, The Anchor is excited to unveil its enhanced seating, decor and lighting scheme and to show off its newly curated menu.
The Anchor returns with bolstered food and beverage options - adding a host of delicious new offerings to its existing menu of fan favorites.
Recent additions include crispy chicken tacos, Caribbean pulled pork sliders, house made clam chowder and lobster bisque, as well as the ever so popular fried mac & cheese bites. Patrons should leave room for dessert because tiramisu and North-end style chocolate dipped chocolate chip cannoli are on the menu. The Anchor’s acclaimed lobster rolls, sourced from local fisheries, as well as soft serve and frozen treats will return for the summer!
With over 24 craft beers, wines and sangria on the menu that feature many New England based businesses, The Anchor still found a way to add more flavor for the warmer weather. The curation of frozen fusions and specialty drinks are back with a twist on last year’s roster of summer libations. Stay tuned for the return of The Anchor’s classic frosé as well as the newly introduced frozen peach bellini, frozen margarita and strawberry Moscato punch.
The Anchor is so much more than its food and beverage offerings. The Anchor’s free public programs kicked off this March and are now in full swing. The Anchor’s “Live @ 5” series returns Monday through Friday, with Jazz, Soul & Reggae brunches on the weekends kicking off in May.
With over 400 programs, events and art installations planned for this year, The Anchor is also bringing back its daily Waterfront Wellness Series, bi-weekly Sunday comedy, monthly instructor-led paint nights, thematic art installations, seasonal celebrations and so much more.
The Anchor is open for reservations 7 days a week and as always will continue to accommodate walk-ins on a space available basis.
