The Connecticut/Western Mass. chapter of SIOR hosts golf tournament

Rounding out a busy spring, The Connecticut/Western Massachusetts chapter of SIOR held a golf tournament at the Tashua Knolls Public Golf Course. An afternoon of golf was followed by a regular business meeting, a networking session over appetizers and cocktails, and then dinner. The Town of Trumbull graciously welcomed members and guests for an enjoyable day on their municipal course and use of the clubhouse facility. Trumbull officials, including Tim Herbst, first selectman and Ed Lavernoich, director of economic and community development, spoke about their efforts to promote business in the community by streamlining the governmental and permitting process in town. The chapter would like to acknowledge and thank event sponsor, Zuvic-Carr Associates for their support. Additionally, Bob Carr provided a presentation updating members and guests on environmental laws and regulations which are in the process of changing in Connecticut, along with initiatives in the works to eliminate the Transfer Act in the coming years.
