The Davis Companies and John Moriarty & Associates celebrate topping-off of The Alewife Research Center

Cambridge, MA The Davis Companies (TDC) and John Moriarty & Associates celebrated the ceremonial “topping-off” of the Alewife Research Center (The ARC), a new lab building located at 35 Cambridgepark Dr. This milestone marks the completion of the structural phase of construction and positions the project to be delivered on schedule and available for occupancy by life science tenants this fall.

The ARC is a 223,000 s/f transit-oriented class A lab building, located adjacent to the Alewife MBTA Station, minutes from both Kendall Sq. and Harvard Sq. via the MBTA Red Line, and accessible from the Metro West suburbs via Rte. 2, the Minuteman Bikeway and four other bike paths. This location provides value for life science and pharmaceutical companies requiring flexible laboratory space and broad access to both urban and suburban talent pools.

The event included remarks from Brian Fallon, president of TDC Development Group, a subsidiary of The Davis Companies, and was followed by the traditional lifting of the final steel beam into place.

“We are pleased to have celebrated this milestone today,” Fallon said. “The ARC is one of the very few blocks of large high quality lab space available on the market and the largest block of Class A lab space coming to the market in 2018. We look forward to contributing to the growth of Cambridge’s impressive and burgeoning reputation as a premier center for research and discovery.”
