The Geenty Group facilitates $1.3 million sale of 56,174 s/f facility to MATCH Corp.

New Haven, CT The Geenty Group, Realtors, has closed the sale of 5-17 James St., a 56,174 s/f manufacturing facility on 2.51 acres in the city’s Fair Haven neighborhood.

Kristin Geenty, SIOR, of The Geenty Group represented the seller, Bankwell, in the transaction. In mid-November around the Thanksgiving holiday, Bankwell charged Geenty with a mandate to sell the property and close it by year end 2025.

Geenty secured a buyer, working closely with Ken Ginsberg of KNG Realty who represented MATCH Corp. (Manufacturing and Technical Community Hub) and Marcia LaFemina, the buyer.

MATCH Provides manufacturing training and contract manufacturing to people transitioning careers and in some cases, just out of school. MATCH Corp successfully navigated the compressed timeframe to secure the property.

MATCH Corp’s acquisition of the Fair Haven manufacturing facility represents a significant investment in the city’s industrial infrastructure and economic development. MATCH plans a renovation of the property including getting the windmill back on-line to power the building.
