Simon reported plans for a major three-phase renovation of The Mall at Chestnut Hill. The company also reported that the center's name will change to The Shops at ChestnutHill in the fall to herald the mall's transformation.
The Shops at Chestnut Hill will remain open throughout the renovation project that began on May 26th and will be complete in September.
"We are incredibly excited about the façade renovation and exterior upgrades that will elevate and modernize the look of our center," said Justin Feldhouse, mall manager at The Shops at Chestnut Hill. "We believe that the new name, The Shops at Chestnut Hill will better reflect the upscale and intimate environment that continues to make our center a premiere high-end shopping destination in the Chestnut Hill area."
The three phase project will bring modern updates to The Shops at Chestnut Hill, including:
* Redesign of main mall entrance, including an expanded vestibule, automatic hand free doors, new mats and finishes, and glass lantern structures;
* New mall signage, debuting the new name on the front of the property and at three existing entrances;
* Re-branding directional signage with new name in parking areas and throughout shopping center;
* Energy-efficient upgrades including LED lighting that will complement the recently unveiled electric vehicle fast-charging freedom stations, as well as car pool parking and low emitting efficient vehicle parking; and
* A more modern and cohesive look throughout the entire shopping center.
