The Marr Companies adds two to senior management positions

Jeffrey Marr Jr.
Marr Scaffolding Co.

Boston, MA Jeffrey Marr Jr. has been promoted to vice president, business development for The Marr Companies. For the past year Marr Jr. has been serving as manager of business development, a new position established at Marr Scaffolding Company at the end of 2017.  Prior to that, Marr Jr. served as the aerial lift & swing stage sales representative / project manager for the Greater Boston and Cambridge area. He started with Marr Scaffolding Co. in 2008 as operations coordinator. 

Marr Jr. will continue to head Marr’s business development function, working in collaboration with fellow management, various company sales teams and Marr’s broad customer base to strengthen partnerships and develop growth opportunities. Marr Jr. is a 2008 graduate of Boston College. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Building Congress and the Associated Subcontractors of Mass., where he currently serves on the board of directors. He is a member of the sixth generation of Marr family members to work for the company.

John Snow
Daniel Marr & Son Co.

John Snow has joined Daniel Marr & Son Co. as the director of operations. He will be responsible for overseeing and directing the company’s project management and field operations. 

Snow comes to Marr with over 35 years in the steel construction industry. His experience includes a senior project manager role in the fabrication, erection and construction management sides of the industry. Most recently, Snow was employed with Skanska USA as senior project manager, overseeing the steel on the new Apple headquarters in California, and has managed several high-profile projects including the Patriots Gillette Stadium and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. 

Snow brings a wealth of experience to the Marr team and the company is looking forward to his future contributions. 

The Marr Cos., established in 1898, consists of Daniel Marr & Son Company, Marr Scaffolding Company, Marr Crane & Rigging and Isaac Blair & Co., Inc. This year marks the company’s 121st year servicing the New England construction industry.
