Thru the Lens: Hobbs Brook Management provided meals to Waltham YMCA’s MLK Day of Service

Waltham, MA Hobbs Brook Management LLC partnered with the Waltham YMCA for the annual MLK Day of Service, a commemoration of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of service. Hobbs Brook Management donated 150 boxed lunches and bottled waters to the January 16 event held at the Waltham YMCA, located at 725 Lexington St.

The Waltham YMCA, with help from the Lexington MLK Day of Service volunteers, welcomed guests from local transitional homeless shelters for a full day of fun activities including sports and games, swimming, rock climbing, Zumba, story-time, and arts and crafts. The fourth annual event also provided guests with access to a complimentary clothing boutique and a healthy lunch.

“It is incredibly rewarding to see our community come together to provide needy families with a day of fun, warm clothing, and healthy food,” said Bobby Kleinau, executive director at the Waltham YMCA. “We gratefully acknowledge that Hobbs Brook Management’s generous donation towards this day of celebration was so very impactful and appreciated. To watch children dance around with a bright green box while screaming, ‘there’s cookies in here too!’ was just amazing and would not have happened without the generosity of Hobbs Brook.”
