Timberline begins three health and wellness projects - 70,800 s/f

Timberline has completed multiple projects at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Currently Timberline Construction is renovating a 27,800 s/f space within the Family Health Center of Worcester. The $3.2 million project consists of phased fit-outs within the existing and operating healthcare facility on the ground, first and third floors. The work consists of selective demolition, renovations of and interior fit-out for new program and support spaces to include: exam rooms, dental treatment areas, visual services, pharmacy, support and administrative areas. JACA Architects designed the center's new spaces. The alterations and construction when complete will deliver all new interior finishes, built-in casework and mechanical, plumbing and electrical services for each of these spaces. Family Health Center is a full-service accredited health center with seven additional satellite locations throughout Worcester. Timberline is committed to delivering quality construction and client service for health and wellness facility projects through-out New England. This also includes partnering with LA Fitness and Fresenius Medical each a second time, to deliver a ground-up sports club facility and a renovated medical office and clinic. Timberline completed the LA Fitness Stoughton location in 2012. LA Fitness International, LLC has a portfolio of 586 sports clubs across North America. That number continues to grow and the company will be celebrating 30 years in 2014. The new $4.9 million LA Fitness will be constructed within Garden City Center in Cranston. The 38,000 s/f ground-up facility will include: men and women locker rooms, indoor pool with spa, spinning studio, cardio rooms, day care center, reception and lounge areas, juice bar, sales area, aerobics classroom, basketball court, and weight rooms. The project also includes an elevator installation for access to the club's second level. The design was provided by Amara Associates, LLC. Early this year Timberline completed a fit-out for a new Fresenius Medical location in Milford, NH. Fresenius Medical Care North America is a major provider of kidney dialysis services and renal care products. Based in Mass. the company has established more than 2,100 facilities with 55,000 U.S. employees. The Timberline team is now renovating an existing location in Westwood. The 5,000 s/f medical office and clinic work includes cosmetic upgrades to the ceilings, flooring, and millwork.
