Todisco and BKA Archts. chosen to design 10,000 s/f Davio Restaurant
Restaurant designer Steve Todisco and BKA Architects, an architecture and interior design firm located in Brockton Mass., have been commissioned by Davio's Restaurants to design a new Davio's restaurant at Patriot Place, a new 1.3 million s/f retail, entertainment and commercial use center located next to Gillette Stadium.
The goal for the team is to re-create the feel of the Davio's Boston location that was designed by Steve Todisco and opened in 2002. Occupying a 10,000 s/f space, the Patriot Place location includes a dining room and several areas in which guests are able to observe the food preparation activities while enjoying their meals. Seats will be available for guests at a bar near the display kitchen and a boat-shaped bar. Mahogany wood paneling and wainscoting, oak floors and accent colors will be used throughout the space. Construction is expected to start in the spring with an opening planned for the start of the pre-season in August.
Wallingford, CT O,R&L Commercial has completed the $3.8 million sale of a mixed-use investment property located at 33-39 North Main St. and 24-25 Wallace Ave. in the town center.
Now what? As the year comes to a close, the state of retail is always in the news. The answers vary greatly depending on who in the various related industries you ask, each offering a unique lens on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
This may seem self-serving, and I’ll be the first to admit it. But unlike some of the artificial intelligence tools now reshaping our industry, I am fully aware of my own bias. So, hear me out. The rise of AI in commercial real estate is not a distant threat or a speculative headline.
