Jim Tracey has been named to the new post of executive vice president of Dellbrook Construction.
Tracey will be responsible for leading the company as it continues to diversify into the healthcare, educational and life sciences markets. He has more than 22 years of experience in the industry, with specific expertise in healthcare facilities. His oversight of some of the region's most complex hospital construction projects has given him relationships with key healthcare executives, architects and subcontractors.
Before joining Dellbrook, Tracey was a project executive at the building consultancy KV Associates. At KVA, he represented several owners during the construction of the $46 million New England Baptist Outpatient Care Center in Westwood/Dedham, which operates in partnership with Shields Health Care Group.
Before that, he served as vice president of healthcare construction in the northeast region for Suffolk Construction. In that post, he oversaw projects for some regional healthcare institutions, including Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary.

While at Suffolk, Tracey developed a team that was experienced in the unique challenges of healthcare construction. Among the projects he oversaw were the $135 million Boston Medical Center Shapiro Ambulatory Care Center and the $20 million Brigham and Women's/Mass. General Health Care Center at Patriot Place in Foxboro. In 2010, Tracey was named one of Boston's Future Leaders by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Dellbrook is a full-service, diversified construction company headquartered in Quincy. Launched in 2005 by Michael Fish and his father, the late Edward Fish, it is now one of the largest construction management companies in the northeast.
Among the projects recently completed by the company is the $13.2 million expansion and renovation of Mount Pleasant Home in Jamaica Plain, Mass., which included 2,100 s/f of clinical space for Brigham and Women's Hospital. That project recently won an award for excellence in construction from Associated Builders & Contractors.
