TRB Development Group completes 21,850 s/f CVS Pharmacy project
TRB Development Group, Inc. has completed renovations and conversion of an existing retail building at 1148 Saratoga St. into a new CVS Pharmacy. The 21,850 s/f project near the Winthrop town line includes grocery store-style check out lanes, urban graphics, and a display window. BKA Architects of Brockton designed the spacious retail/pharmacy, which features a new partial brick façade over existing block with Alucobond aluminum composite panels, drive-through, new entrance canopy, large pharmacy, and a healthy skin area.
At the rear of the property, TRB created a fenced swale planted with seven varieties of trees and numerous shrubs to create a buffer between the retail store and the protected marshes. The swale was certified by a wetlands biologist to conform to environmental standards. In addition, TRB embedded metal plaques in front of sewer grates in the parking lot to alert shoppers not to pour liquids into the drains, as those pipes flow directly into Boston Harbor.
Wallingford, CT O,R&L Commercial has completed the $3.8 million sale of a mixed-use investment property located at 33-39 North Main St. and 24-25 Wallace Ave. in the town center.

Now what? As the year comes to a close, the state of retail is always in the news. The answers vary greatly depending on who in the various related industries you ask, each offering a unique lens on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
