Trinity Building + Construction Management Corp. has been awarded and begun a complex phased renovation of Dick's Sporting Goods, at the Riverdale Shops (1081 Riverdale St.).
"We are really excited about adding Dick's to our client roster," said Paul Mancini, vice president, business development and preconstruction. "Our work at this location involves retrofitting and renovating the existing building, to match the store's modern-day design concept."
The store will feature new and improved areas, such as: a lodge, where customers can test hunting and camping gear; a golf simulator; footwear section; small track, where customers can run; and interior brand name apparel sections.
"The renovation is based on a seasonal phased plan and through the use of partitioning, the store will remain operational and open to Dick's customers throughout the entire renovation process," said
Mancini. Trinity is responsible for the store's electrical work, new lighting, painting, exterior work and framing. The team is also working and interfacing with Dick's national vendors to coordinate signage, millwork, flooring and A/V work.
While Trinity is currently completing construction of a brand new Dick's Sporting Goods store in White Plains, New York, as part of another team, this is the company's first direct contract with the national sports and fitness retailer.

Trinity is scheduled to complete the renovation of the West Springfield location by this summer.
