After more than 23 years and being one of the top five purchasers of conventional sealcoat in the United States, U.S. Sealcoat has introduced the exclusive new, environmentally friendly sealcoat, known as the Carbonyte Process. As the industry, and municipalities all over the country, recognizes the significant risks to conventional sealcoats, U.S. Sealcoat has made significant investments to remain on the cutting edge in the pavement maintenance industry with Carbonyte. This environmentally friendly sealcoat is exclusively available from the nation's leading parking lot maintenance and construction company, U.S. Sealcoat & U.S. Paving.
Through extensive research into the recently discovered risks of traditional sealcoats, known as coal tar emulsions, U.S. Sealcoat has partnered with the world's leading protective pavement materials company to bring the highest quality, most environmentally safe sealcoat product to New England. As with regions of the country that have already introduced Carbonyte, including California and Arizona, the product will undoubtedly be adopted by the entire industry because of its irrefutable superiority to coal tar and other sealcoat alternatives.

Choose Environmentally Safe Carbonyte Process Sealcoat for Best Results:
Conventional sealcoating products are most commonly based on a coal tar emulsion. An inherent problem with coal tar is that it can contain up to 50% (by weight) toxic compounds known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Vehicle tires grind down sealcoat into fine particles, and these particles are washed off parking lots by rain into streams and ponds. Recently, the possibility of PAHs from the coal tar particles attaching to and accumulating in the water supply was discovered, causing adverse health effects for mammals, birds, fish, and the environment as a whole.
The Carbonyte Process sealcoat is a recent innovation in asphalt sealing technology. Because this product is based on asphalt emulsion and contains no coal tar, it releases no harmful PAHs into the environment. The Carbonyte Process is derived from NASA research by a team of scientists led by Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space Company during the Orbiter Re-Entry Thermal Shield Program. This process utilizes nano-ceramics to create a totally new concept in an asphalt maintenance product. The Carbonyte Process converts asphalt into a superior-performing thermoplastic. Modifying the molecular bonds within the asphalt emulsion and mixture substantially improves the asphalt's ductility, raises its softening point, increases adhesion to mineral surfaces, and renders the finished product insoluble. The Carbonyte Process of Sacramento, Calif., has recently licensed U.S. Sealcoat to exclusively manufacture the new asphalt emulsion-based sealcoat product in the New England region.

Reasons to Choose Carbonyte Process Sealcoat over Conventional Sealcoat:
* Contains no polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons or other environmentally hazardous materials.
* Thicker asphalt emulsion gives a heavier "investment grade" coating.
* Dries in half the time as conventional sealcoat
* Will not track in summer heat.
* Is exceptionally resistant to tire scuffing.
Performance Benefits of Carbonyte Process Sealcoat:
Carbonyte is not only safe for the environment, but outperforms conventional coal tar emulsion asphalt in all measures of quality. Downtime in busy parking lots, once a nightmare with conventional sealcoats, is greatly reduced as Carbonyte dries in about half the time. Beyond the significantly faster dry time, Carbonyte can be used at night to completely eliminate the issue of downtime.
Unlike conventional sealers, Carbonyte cures from the bottom up. It is dry and ready for use when it looks dry, which means tracking and tire scarring is also eliminated. Because of its advanced chemical make-up, Carbonyte sealcoat is much tougher, resisting abrasion from vehicles' tight radius turns and lasts much longer than conventional sealers. Lastly, unlike all other sealers in the industry, the organic composition of Carbonyte means that it has no unpleasant odor or smell, even while curing.
For many years, U.S. Sealcoat has encouraged clients to not plan asphalt maintenance in the blind. Combining 23 years as the nation's leading asphalt maintenance company with the best available sealcoat material has positioned U.S. Sealcoat as the industry's true leader for parking lot maintenance needs. Carbonyte only makes the benefits to sealcoat that much stronger. In addition to saving thousands over the life of your pavement and beautifying your landscape, the reduced dry times and eliminated environmental risks make sealcoating with Carbonyte the answer for proper maintenance of your valuable pavement investment.
