East Hartford, CT United Steel Inc. has opened a new 7,000 s/f clean room designed specifically for manufacturing aluminum and stainless steel parts and components that are free of cross-contamination with carbon steel particles.  The company purchased new equipment exclusively for use in the clean room to further ensure a pure environment for working with these metals.  The company’s United Metal Solutions division will manage the use of the clean room for the entire company’s full range of production services.

United Steel created the clean room because they were seeing an increase in demand from purchasers and manufacturers who want to avoid unsightly rust and costly repairs or replacements.  These long-term factors are being considered more significantly in up-front cost estimates.

“Our entire company is built on the fact that we focus on quality and integrity in all we do for our customers,” Kyle Corneau, vice president of business development at United Metal Solutions, said.  “With this clean room, we can guarantee products will be rust-free and will be able to withstand the elements.  Purchasers and manufacturers will have the satisfaction of knowing they now have an option to avoid the headaches of having to repair or replace aluminum or stainless steel products.”
