Tony Vacca of Conway Commercial recently brokered the $750,000 sale of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Hall on 30 Central St. to Lisa Mastrangelo who will convert the facility into Mastrangelo Family Catering, a full-service catering business, which formerly operated out of leased space in Braintree. Jay Nuss of Nuss Realty Group represented the buyer.
The 13,384 s/f VFW building includes a full kitchen, inside seating for 350, paved parking for 200-plus, two restrooms, a dance floor, offices, a game room, a ball field, an outdoor picnic grove and 10.54 acres of land.
The Mastrangelo family will use their new site to offer a full slate of home cooked catering as well as a spacious function hall for special events.
VFW Post 5737 member Rich Mays credits Vacca with doing a "first-rate" job as the listing broker in the sale of the Abington hall.
"Tony helped us every step of the way," said Mays. "We would absolutely recommend him and the Conway Commercial group to anyone who is selling a commercial property. In fact, we hope to hire Tony to help us with a future purchase."
Conway Commercial was established in 1956 as a division of Jack Conway & Co., Inc., one of the largest independently owned real estate companies in New England.
