Bridgewater, MA According to Vantage Builders, Inc., Theory Wellness, Inc. (TWI) hired the firm to build out its medical marijuana cultivation, processing, and dispensing facility at 1050 Elm St. The dispensary is scheduled to open to qualifying patients in April 2017.

The facility will occupy the entire 12,000 s/f retail/industrial building, and house TWI’s vertically integrated medical marijuana operations. Following plans from BKA Architects, Vantage will build-out the space to support independently climate-controlled cultivation rooms, drying and processing areas, and a retail dispensary. The project will include internal construction and significant electrical, plumbing and HVAC work.

“We are pleased to be working with Theory Wellness, as they open their registered medical marijuana dispensary,” said John Connor, principal, Vantage Builders. “This is a fast-growing market and it’s exciting to be involved with a leader in the industry. This type of facility requires expertise in many areas and we are enjoying the challenge that it presents.”

“Cultivating and processing pharmaceutical-grade marijuana is a much more complicated and precise process than most people think, and it all begins with proper design and construction of the facility,” said Nick Friedman, president of TWI. “For example, there are many specific environmental conditions that must be maintained, which varies for each stage of the cultivation process. All of our medicine is tested for contaminants and quality at a laboratory in Massachusetts; it is essential to have a properly controlled and sanitary environment inside of our facility. We appreciate how attentive Vantage Builders has been to our construction process, so that we can be assured our patients will receive the highest quality products.”
