Vidal/Wettenstein sells 32,000 s/f; buyer plans conversion to self-storage

Shelton, CT The commercial property located at 917 Bridgeport has been sold to 917 Bridgeport Ave., LLC, an affiliate of Kirchhoff. The buyer will be converting the building to a self-storage facility managed by Extra Space Storage.

The property consists of 32,000 s/f. There are two tenants in the northern portion of the building, and they will remain for the duration of their lease. The front portion of the building will be increased by the addition of three more floors.

Bruce Wettenstein, SIOR & partner with Vidal/Wettenstein negotiated the sale for both parties. Counsel for the seller was Rob Russo of Russo & Rizio, Southport. David DeVito from M&T Bank will be providing construction financing in connection with the redevelopment.
