Leading NYC-based project management firm, VVA Project Managers & Consultants, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2014. As one of the first independent New York companies offering construction project management and owners representation services, VVA is still a pioneer, leading the PM discipline and quickly evolving to address market demands. Founded by Lorenzo Vascotto and partner Sail Van Nostrand in January of 1994, the firm's focus was primarily on law firm, financial services and media and entertainment projects in the NY tri-state area. It has now expanded to include all market sectors, a global footprint and a broadened array of PM and Cost Consultancy services.
"I believe one of the keys to our success is that we have grown with the times, and continue to be one step ahead of the curve while preserving our core competencies and values" said Vascotto. "We have accomplished this by constantly updating - expanding into new markets, embracing the worldwide need for quantity surveying, insightfully building our staff with experienced industry professionals and staying on the cutting edge of technology."
Today, the firm has completed over 800 projects and has more than 70 million s/f, and an extended reach with offices in NYC, New Jersey, Boston, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. VVA's current leadership has grown to five partners - Lorenzo Vascotto, Marc Chiapperino, Ray Arnold, Dana Panzarino, and Bob O'Hea. In 2011, VVA partnered with Sweett Group Plc, and later established VVA Sweett, Inc., a joint venture offering premier global project management and cost consultancy services. This global platform of more than 55 offices worldwide and 1500 staff gives the firm the ability to service clients as they expand outside of the US.
VVA's large and loyal client base now spans multiple market sectors, including commercial interiors, healthcare, hospitality, education, government, non-profits, retail, new developments and core and shell construction.
"VVA's team of professionals has displayed outstanding commitment and dedication when working with our company," said Barry Alton, global head of corporate real estate & services for Jefferies LLC. "They have a complete understanding of my business needs and always remain focused on meeting our objectives. I would highly recommend working with the VVA team on your next project."
Although VVA has grown, the company has maintained its close knit culture and family atmosphere. The longevity of so many team members is a testament to the dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment. "It's a very positive and collaborative culture which affords all of us the opportunity to learn and grow. Everyone is very smart, works hard, and no one loses sight of their individual mission yet we always find time to share ideas and support each other" said partner, Marc Chiapperino. The VVA team is a vital aspect of the firm's success, whose expertise and commitment to serving their clients has propelled VVA to the top of New York City's, and possibly the country's, PM firms.
Note from the firm: A special thank you to our clients and industry friends. Your success is our success; we would not be here without you! We are proud to have served you for two decades and we look forward to a bright future together.
