Wakim of Simon Konover Company to retire role as president and COO to next generation

West Harford, CT Jim Wakim, Esq., president, chief operating officer and general counsel of The Simon Konover Company, will be retiring later this spring.

Wakim joined The Simon Konover Company in May of 2008 and has been responsible for the strategic growth of the company’s investment and management portfolio including the two operating divisions, Konover Commercial Corporation and Konover Residential Corporation. He will retire on May 31, 2024 but will remain with the company as a consultant through the end of 2024.

Gregory Konover, a third generation Konover family member and grandson of company founder Simon Konover, will assume the leadership role as president of The Simon Konover Company. Konover started at the company in May of 2013 as an acquisitions and development associate and was promoted to president of Konover Residential Corp. in October of 2019. Konover will continue in his capacity as president of Konover Residential Corp.

Scott Lynch, chief financial officer, will assume the additional role of chief operating officer, and will work closely with Konover to set the vision for the continuing success of The Simon Konover Company.

The Simon Konover Company is a nearly 70-year strong family-owned, vertically integrated real estate company specializing in ownership, development and management of residential and commercial assets for its own accounts and for third-party owners.
