Orlando, FL Penny Wickey, principal of Westport’s Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate, traveled to Orlando for the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s (WBENC) National Conference & Business Fair. The non-profit organization, WBENC, is the largest third-party certifier of businesses-owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States.

Wickey’s Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate (SCRE) earned WBENC certification last year, making it highly attractive as a vendor to companies that are looking to promote women in the business world. This year’s conference featured “matchmaker” sessions where Wickey was able to meet with prospective corporate clients.

“The entire experience was absolutely incredible,” said Wickey. “It was a great opportunity to meet with forward-thinking corporations that are looking to do business with women, and getting to know the other female entrepreneurs was invigorating.”
