Willamette Management Associates, a Citizens company, adds new Boston office - names Bello as managing director

Boston, MA According to Willamette Management Associates, a Citizens company, Marc Bello has joined the firm as a managing director. He will lead Willamette’s new Boston office.

Bello’s professional expertise centers in the areas of business valuation, forensic accounting and financial consulting services dealing with complex compensation and taxation issues. He has performed these valuations in connection with shareholder disputes, marital dissolution proceedings, estate and gift taxation, stock option plans and mergers and acquisitions.

Bello also provides litigation support services in the areas of business valuation, forensic accounting and taxation. In addition, he has performed analysis to determine damages sustained in connection with lost profits, business interruption, wrongful termination and hidden income. He has been qualified as an expert in U.S. Tax Court, Massachusetts and New Hampshire Superior Courts and Massachusetts Probate Court.

“Marc’s arrival opens a new door for Willamette Management Associates,” said Timothy J. Meinhart, managing director. “Not only does it herald the opening of our fourth office, but Marc’s experience will only enhance our valuation and forensic analysis practices.”

Bello is an instructor for the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and is a past chair of the NACVA’s Executive Advisory Board, Valuation Credentialing Board, Forensic Litigation Board and the Educational Quality Assurance Board.

Prior to joining Willamette Management Associates, he was a partner at Edelstein & Company LLP, where he led the firm’s Business Valuation and Forensic Accounting Team. Prior to joining Edelstein, he held positions at Rhodia ChiRex, Ambrosi Donahue Congdon & Co. and Grant Thornton.

Bello earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ithaca College and a master’s degree in taxation from Bentley University. He holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, as well as the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF) designations from NACVA, among other credentials.
