William Coppins II passes away July 13, 2023, at the age of 89

Stoneham, MA William Coppins II passed away July 13, 2023, at his home at the age of 89. 

Coppins had a 50-plus-year career as a commercial-industrial real estate broker, which included starting Coppins Company, Inc. in 1978. With his strong work ethic and straight-shooter style, he brokered deals throughout eastern Mass., working with many other brokers, and some of the larger companies in the area at that time, including GE and Compugrahpic Corp.

Coppins loved his family, coaching youth sports, the University of New Hampshire, UNH sports, reading newspapers, dancing, and time at his treasured family camp in Wolfeboro, NH. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Doern) Coppins; daughters Deb of Dover, NH, Gail (John) of Concord, NH; sons Bobby (Kate) of Reading, MA, Jim (Stacey) of Chester, NH and Bill of Seattle, WA; his sister Susan MacMartin of Wolfeboro, NH; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

His Celebration of Life will take place November 4th, and will consist of the following. Please join them for any portion of the day:

• Memorial Mass: 10:00, St. Mary’s, Winchester;

• Burial: following services, Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester ;

• Reception: 12:30 – 4:00, Winchester Town Hall, Winchester.

In recognition of Bill’s contributions to UNH Athletics, The William T. Coppins II ‘61 and Patricia M. Coppins Athletic Scholarship Fund is now being established. Awards will be made to student-athletes in need who demonstrate strong character, leadership skills, remarkable team spirit, and commitment to the university.
