Winter Hill Bank opens new 3,200 s/f branch at Shaw's Plaza

The new Winter Hill Bank branch recently opened at Shaw's Plaza, 271 Main St. (Rte. 28). The construction cost for the project was undisclosed. The 3,200 s/f facility has a two-lane drive-up window as well as drive-up and walk-up ATMs in addition to its own parking area. It has replaced a smaller, much older office that had been part of the strip mall at Shaw's Plaza since 1973. "We are very proud of our history in town, and our new branch office shows our commitment to the community," said Winter Hill Bank president/CEO Sandra McGoldrick at the ribbon cutting. "We are a true community bank, and our success has in large part been due to our ability to keep pace with an ever changing banking landscape with new facilities as well as online banking." A two-year project, the new Winter Hill Bank was designed and developed by East Coast Developments, Woburn. David DiBenedetto, project designer, and Frank Pitts Curtis, AIA, of East Coast Developments, Inc. were the project architects. "My family came here from Italy 55 years ago and has been doing its banking with the Winter Hill Bank ever since," said developer Frank Fodera, Jr. President of East Coast Developments, Inc. "The new site formerly housed a Pizza Hut and then a Soundworks," Fodera said. "In collaboration with the bank, a decision was made to raze that building and construct a new facility that would meet all the bank's needs."
