Young Professionals Network to network with REFA’s professionals

December 18, 2015 - Connecticut

Bloomfield, CT Last year, The Real Estate Finance Association of Connecticut (REFA) formed a Young Professionals Network (REFA YPN) with the objective of helping individuals that are new to, or lightly experienced in, the commercial real estate industry and who desire to better establish themselves within the professional real estate community.  We are happy to report that both the Fairfield/Westchester and Hartford Chapters have had a number of events that allow our young professionals to learn and network with many of REFA’s seasoned professionals.

The REFA board of directors, just recently voted unanimously the following proposal:

• 40 age cutoff

• 50% off first year membership dues

• 3 free passes to luncheons

• 2 bring a friend passes to luncheons

Many have already taken advantage of this offer.   If you have colleagues in your firm that fall under this criteria, please urge them to take advantage of membership in REFA.

On January 7th, 2016 the Fairfield/Westchester Chapter Young Professionals are hosting a discussion with Randy Salvatore of RMS Companies. Salvatore will speak to the group about his career in the commercial real estate industry. The event will take place at Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Following the discussion, the Young Professionals will join REFA members for the Fairfield/Westchester Chapter’s annual winter social in the lobby of Hotel Zero Degrees. Last month, the REFA Young Professionals hosted a breakfast program at Merritt 7 in Norwalk. Bill Fenn and Joann McGrath of Marcus Partners spoke to the group about several of their past real estate transactions.
