Jewett Construction completes 12,000 s/f N.E. Brace Co. facility

Jewett Construction Co., Inc. has recently completed a new medical facility for New England Brace Company (NEBCO). The seamless, seven-month project took place during the winter months. "It was great to work with the folks from New England Brace," said Craig Jewett, president of Jewett Construction. "Their swift decision making had a positive impact on the project's overall schedule." Design was provided by Dignard Architectural Services and constructed by Jewett Construction. Work included demolition of the existing structure, site improvements, and construction of a new 12,000 s/f fully accessible medical office facility. Removal of the existing building was a challenge, as underneath it was rubble of an old mill building, which had to be very carefully extracted. The lower level of the new facility houses New England Brace's fabrication lab, and the 1st floor is home to the office and patient areas. Currently, there is 3,800 s/f of available office space for lease on the 2nd floor. New England Brace consolidated the central fabrication office, formerly in Hooksett, and the patient care facility from Lake Ave. in Manchester, into the new building located across the entrance to Elliott Hospital. The new facility gives New England Brace functional space to streamline production of custom prosthetic and orthotic manufacturing and better serve their valued patient clientele.
