CAI president’s message: Accomplishments & successes - by Bob Keegan

Every organization is measured by its accomplishments and successes. I find myself very fortunate to be not only part of an organization that has realized many of both, but to have been asked to serve as its 2017 president.

As I listened to stories from other president-elects around the country at the 2016 CAI National Conference, I realized how much the New England Chapter of CAI has achieved through its great leadership, organization and volunteerism. Maybe it’s our temperamental and uninhibited attitudes that we’re known for here in the Northeast, but I like to think that it is a reflection of our strong work ethic and willingness to roll up our sleeves and get the job done.

We’ve been very fortunate at CAINE to have such a large and diverse group of volunteers from all our chapter states working in conjunction with a strong professional staff led by chapter executive director, Claudette Carini. It is only through everyone’s hard work and commitment serving on the chapter’s boards and committees as well as volunteering to support events that we are able to be such a successful and results driven chapter

As we enter 2017 we face not only challenges within our industry, but also as a result of the strong divide in our political landscape created by an energized election year. In my tenure as the chapter president, I intend to continue our chapter’s vision of being recognized as “the foremost information resource and advocate for New England condominium associations and the professionals that manage and advise them.” With the support of the many individuals involved in CAI and by focusing on our vision to keep associations informed of important industry issues and trends through our many educational programs and in Condo Media magazine, the official monthly publication of the CAI New England Chapter, we will successfully endure the noise that is sure to occur in the coming months.
